New Lesson Offering: Speed Skating

Break your speed limit! Speed-skating is power masked in grace. Its main elements are attaining a proper form with good technique and are supported by both strength and power. Learn how to skate faster on longer distances by mastering these fundamentals. 

Recently, speed-skating was featured as one of official Asian Games(Guangzhou, 2010) and it has managed by Federation International of Roller Sports(FIRS) manages speed skating and has organized copmpetitions in many countries in Europe, the US, Colombia and in Asia such as Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and India. It is an excellent team sport  which  teaches team work and self discipline while maintaining great fitness and having fun. Due to its hgh coordination body movement and advance psychomotor skills, it is a great discipline for juniors to progress in skating as well because it stretches the aptitude to learn balancing techniques with better physiques. 

Lesson Information

Date: 4, 11, 18 Feb 2012 and 3 Mar 2012 Saturday

Time: 9.30am-11am

Venue: Multi-purpose hard court in front of Jeluntung Community Club at Canberra. (2 Sembawang Crescent, about 500m from Sembawang MRT Station)

Lesson Structure: From speed-skating basic skills to advanced skills (Level 1/2/3)

Level 1: Fundamental Skills and body positioning

Level 2: Starting/Finishing , Stopping and physical training

Level 3: Racing-Pack, Crossover and basics of double push

Instructor:  Moon Ji Wook  ICP(1,2,3) and International Examiner
